Set up your own Open Source IP PBX and switch calls easily

An Open Source IP PBX is actually a business telephone system. It is a unified communications system, which does the basic job of being the central switching system for all phone calls. This is necessary in all kinds of businesses. It handles all the traffic internally, and is like a gatekeeper for the world outside. PBX is an acronym for Private Branch Exchange. An Open Source IP PBX consists of lines and stations. The stations refer to the endpoint devices, which are telephones, modems, credit card terminals, or fax machines. Instant messaging, desktop sharing, mobile telephony, email, video conferencing, and SMS can also be included with the latest technology available.
