Vintage Blueberry Wedding Ideas

Posted by dressalfron on June 12th, 2014

A Stunning Affair and Events by Heather Ham created an event meant to feel very much like spring with a soft color palette and pops of blue, which primarily came through the overabundance of blueberries.  They incorporated blueberries in many ways including the escort card drinks, blueberry lemonade, as well as blueberry filled tea cups with the place-cards at each table setting. They also made a stunning blueberry garland to hang on the back of the bride and groom chairs as well as a blueberry necklace for the bride. Read on to hear more from this talented pair and as always see all the pretty images in the full gallery here, all perfectly captured by Love Life Studios. All of our fantastic paper goods were custom made by Two Upon Ten. The invitation suite printed on faux bois as accented by a vintage handkerchief and an antique lace ribbon. From the place-cards placed in cups of blueberries to the escort cards on paper straws, each and every printed item complimented the design perfectly. And the Temescal Gateway Park provided the perfect venue for our shoot to truly come to life. Our lovely bride was wearing an Alina Pizzano Couture gown complete with ruffled edges. She looked ethereal and effortless with hair and makeup by the talented 10.11 Makeup. The perfect accessory for the bride was her Peony & Plum bouquet filled with: garden roses, spray roses, sweet peas, ranunculus, blue delphinium, silver brunia berries, and hydrangea.Peony & Plum did a phenomenal job on the floral décor, as always, and far exceeded expectations. She takes an inspiration board and ideas and truly brings them to life. She filled the main table with vintage vessels and some water pitchers for a homey, eclectic feel. The softly striped linen from La Tavola was accented by a burlap table runner with ruffles. We mix and matched the vintage china along with some pieces from Classic for again, an eclectic look, as if you pulled the pieces out of your grandmother’s cupboard and sat down for a meal. The blueberries were also incorporated into the dessert table which was probably our favorite thing to put together. We had a fantastic cake from A Sweet Design that incorporated ruffles and an ombre effect in that blueberry color. The blue ombre effect continued inside the cake as well where each layer of the vanilla cake was a different shade of blue. We used vintage pedestals from The Vintage Table Co.. and berry baskets from Shop Sweet Lulu to display all the yummy goodies. The ruffled curtains as a backdrop were my favorite feature of this table.Beauty: 10.11 MakeupFlowers: Peony & PlumPhotographer: Love Life StudiosEvent Designer: A Stunning Affair & Events by Heather HamVenue: Temescal Gateway ParkCake: A Sweet DesignDress Designer: Alina Pizzano CoutureStationery: Two Upon TenProp or Furniture Rentals: The Vintage Table Co.Table Linens: La Tavola LinenRuffled Backdrop & Runner: Paula & ErikaBerry Baskets: Shop Sweet LuluRentals: Classic Party RentalsBridal Model: Simona Gayauskas
