In common for all wall heaters is that most of them come with fans to circulate the heat. Old wall heater are radiant. Radiant heat (without using a fan) can be great too, but big minus is it can’t cover bigger spaces.

Every manufacturer of these home appliances provide computation guide or tables on how to calculate the proper heater size. Take this BTU Calculator as a great example.

Heater location is next important thing you need to determine. Since these heaters are small and don’t take too much space in house or office choosing location should not be a problem. Use user manual to find manufacturer’s advices on this but standard said wall heater should be installed 7 inches from the floor and nearest wall.

Voltage and power are standard here. Most of them requires 120 or 240 volts electric circle. Standard 120v heater have power from 500 till 1500 watts and are able to heat up space of 200 feet’s.
