About Harry Potter Studio Tour London

The Harry Potter Studio Tour is one of London’s most popular attractions, located next to the Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire. It is open every day of the year except Christmas Day. During opening hours, you can enjoy a 20-30 minute introduction highlighting key details about the film series and pointing out interesting facts. This will tell you what makes the Harry Potter experience so special and give an overview of some of its more memorable locations.

The tour lasts around 1-2 hours and includes various Harry Potter film sets, locations, costumes and props. The experience begins at the iconic Hogwarts Castle and then moves to various other sites in Leavesden. How To Buy Tickets For Last Minute Entry

First things first, the Yule Ball event is always sold out well in advance of December 7th. If you want to guarantee a good seat, it’s best to get tickets in advance of the event. If you’re interested in this, there are two ways to do so.

Online: The easiest way is to head to their official website and book your Harry Potter Studio Tour online. A link on their main page will take you directly to the ticket booking page. If you’re looking for International Tickets, make sure you order them before October 22nd to ensure that your tickets are delivered on time.

In-Person: The second option is to head over to the on-site main ticket booth. This is located in the reception area next to the firework display and next to the gift shop. You can order tickets by cash payment or with a credit/debit card (via a pin code). Tickets can be collected at the same location.

My favourite option, though, is the official ticket booth. I’ve been lucky enough to have bought tickets directly from the staff, who have always been helpful and polite. I recommend this option as you can guarantee that you’ll be able to see Harry Potter Studio Tour London on the day of your visit.

When To Buy Tickets

The Harry Potter Studio Tour is only open from 10 am – 4:30 pm every day except for Christmas Day when it opens at 10 am. All tickets are priced at £60 per person (including children under 3).

Where To Buy Tickets

On site, you can purchase tickets for the Harry Potter Studio Tour at the Warner Bros. studio ticket booth. You’ll find it next to the gift shop and next to the firework display. The staff is friendly and helpful, so I recommend having a look here if you’re looking for last-minute tickets.

How Long Do Tickets Take To Arrive?

You can expect to receive your tickets in the post approximately 3-4 weeks before your booked date. Alternatively, you can collect them at the booth, where they will print them out for you (it’s up to you).

How To Get There By Car?

The Harry Potter Studio Tour is located next to the Warner Bros. studios which are located off junction 27 of the M25. This is approximately a 35 minute drive from central London. If you want to go directly to the Warner Bros. studios then you’ll need to use the A1 or M1. To get to the Harry Potter Studio Tour, head on over to junction 26 of the M25 and take the A41 towards Watford. Keep this road until you see signs for Leavesden Studios on your right hand side. When you see these signs, follow them and you’ll soon arrive at the gates of the Harry Potter Studio Tour (approximately 8 minutes later).

By Public Transport

The quickest and easiest way to get to the Harry Potter Studio Tour is to use the train. If you’re coming from central London, then it’s faster to go by tube (from King’s Cross or St Pancras stations). Then get off at Watford Junction station and walk towards the main roads (the M1, A401 and A41). Once here, it’s a 5 minute walk down the road.
