If the copy worked fine at the time, check to see if there is something blocking it from entering: dirt or some malicious body. If so, use a pin or needle to carefully remove it, trying not to insert it further.

If nothing is visible but it is very cold, the lock may simply be frozen. Heat the whole carefully to break up the ice, and try to introduce it little by little. If all else hasn't worked, try lubricating with graphite powder spray.

Over time, these assemblies lose their perfect articulation and become loose. If it is a simple lock, it may be due to a lubrication problem. Try to lubricate the mechanism by means of a graphite powder spray, for sale in your usual hardware store. If this doesn't work, get the help of a professional locksmith to examine the assembly.

3. The key turns, but does not open

I mean, the key feels loose in there, like it's not meeting resistance. So it looks like the internal mechanism has been damaged. In this case, it is best to call a professional directly, it will be necessary to repair or replace the assembly.

4. The key does not come out, it is stuck

Try to pull carefully and without prying, as you could bend the key and break it. To control the movement and avoid breaking it, grab it with a pair of pliers and, while trying to remove it, move it from side to side slightly.
