If you are a Bright Futures Scholarship student at Santa Fe College, you may want to familiarize yourself with the timeline of your scholarship. You will find that there are a number of important dates to keep in mind. These are important to know as you look ahead to your next semester.

Reimbursement of course(s) dropped or withdrawn after initial drop/add period

If you have registered for a course and have subsequently dropped or withdrawn from it, you may have been wondering how it will affect your academic transcript. Depending on your institution, you may be able to have your dropped course credited to your account, or you may not. Dropping and adding courses have significant financial implications. It is important that you understand the penalties for these actions. Additionally, it is important that you follow the proper procedure for dropping and adding a course. By following the procedures, you will ensure that you are able to receive the most appropriate refund for your withdrawal.

To add or drop a course, you will need to log into your student account. You will also need to complete a form. The form will be available in the registrar's office or through the student success office. After the form is completed, you will be considered officially enrolled.

Students can drop and add a course during the Schedule Adjustment Period. This period is designed to allow students to change their schedules before the first day of classes. However, courses dropped and added during this time will not count toward the number of attempts for any given course. For instance, if you have taken CHEM 678 and CHEM 691, you will not be able to use the courses to even exchange credits.

In order to be considered official, you must provide your name, address, and phone number. During this time, you will need to submit your Add/Drop Form, which can be accessed through the myUH site. Once you have submitted your form, the Office of Educational Outreach will review and process your request. From there, it will be forwarded to the Office of University Registrar. Typically, it will take up to four weeks for a refund to be processed. Until this time, your account will be shown as being a balance.

If you drop a course during the Schedule Adjustment Period, you will receive a "W" grade. However, you will not be credited on your permanent records with a "W." A "W" grade is recorded only when you officially withdraw from a course. If you do not drop a course during this period, you will not be credited with a "W." Therefore, it is important to make sure that you can drop a course in advance of the deadlines.

You can also drop a course during the first five days of a semester. After the fifth day, however, you will not be able to receive a refund. In addition, if you drop a course during this period, you are financially liable for all tuition and fees. All courses dropped after the end of the Drop Period will be credited with a "W" grade.
Repayment of Santa Fe College's Bright Futures scholarship

Bright Futures scholarships are awarded to students who are interested in earning a college degree. Students must meet a variety of academic requirements. This scholarship program is funded by the Florida Lottery. The state of Florida's financial aid office administers the program. It is also a gift aid. Applicants must submit a Florida Financial Aid Application online.

To apply, applicants must be U.S. citizens and not have previously earned a bachelor's degree. Scholarship recipients must meet all eligibility requirements and must earn all of the credits paid by the scholarship. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 is required. Applicants must also not be in default under any state or federal grant program.

Bright Futures Scholarship applicants must also complete six credit hours at another school. After receiving their scholarship, they will be enrolled in classes at Santa Fe College. However, the award may not cover all tuition and fees. If the award does not cover all costs, students must repay Santa Fe College.

In order to qualify for the Bright Futures scholarship, you must be a United States citizen, have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75, and not have defaulted on any state or federal grants. When you are applying, you must include any transfer credits that you have taken at another institution. You will then be sent to the Office of Student Financial Assistance to fill out an application.

In addition to completing the application, you must send in your transcripts. Once your transcripts are received by SF, you will receive your scholarship information. Please make sure that you send in all your transcripts. All transcripts from previous schools will be needed for verification purposes.

Renewing a Bright Futures scholarship requires meeting a few requirements. First, students must complete their courses and pass them. Failing a course will result in the repayment of your Bright Futures scholarship. Additionally, failing a course will affect your transfer grade point average.

If you fail a course, you must retake the course or replace the course with an equal amount of hours. Failure of a course will also affect your immigration status. Depending on the type of course, you may be required to pay the full cost of instruction fee if you retake it. Also, if you fail a course, your transcripts will be placed on a financial hold. These holds will prevent you from registering for courses.

In addition to the Bright Futures scholarship, there are other scholarships that you can take advantage of. Many of these are awarded through the Santa Fe College Foundation. Reinstatement/restoration application

The Bright Futures scholarship is a Florida state program that provides financial aid to students who meet certain requirements. These requirements vary from year to year. In addition, the award is based on credit hours that have been earned, not on the amount of money awarded. The Bright Futures Award is renewed each year based on a certain number of credit hours. Each student will be evaluated for renewal based on their cumulative GPA and their credit hours. However, if you are currently receiving Bright Futures funding, you will not have to complete an application. Your Financial Aid Office will send you a letter and/or email to notify you of your renewal eligibility.

A student who has dropped from an FAS award or is no longer enrolled in any degree programs may be able to regain his or her award through the restoration process. You must be enrolled at least half time in a Florida college or university in order to receive Bright Futures funding. A student who falls short of meeting the required criteria for Bright Futures renewal might be able to attend a summer semester to try and restore his or her scholarship. However, this option is not available to all Bright Futures scholarship recipients. Also, if you fail to meet the criteria for renewal, you will permanently lose your scholarship.

To qualify for the Bright Futures prize, you must fill out the Reinstatement/Restoration Application and submit it to the Florida Department of Education. The Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) will evaluate your application to determine if you are eligible for restoration. Upon approval, you will be notified that you are a Bright Futures scholarship recipient and that you will be re-evaluated. When your evaluation is complete, you will have an updated GPA and your total hours will be certified.
