Operating system emulator

One of the main uses is to run an operating system other than our own on the computer for Play all 80´s and 90´s console games in your browser. There are emulators that allow us to run virtual machines with macOS, Linux or Windows; or older systems.

These are especially useful for people who have several devices, because in this way we can share applications or licences; for example, if we don't want to pay for the version of Word on our iMac.

Keep in mind that depending on the operating system, you will need a more powerful computer, as they tend to create virtual machines.

2. Android emulator.

Although it could be considered an operating system emulator, we have decided to separate it as there is a wide range of Android emulators available. If you are interested in developing applications or simply want to test apps from the Play Store before using them on your mobile, these emulators are perfect.

These are programmes that allow you to run Google's operating system for mobiles and tablets, creating a "fake mobile" and giving you access to the entire app shop.

3. Console emulators.

Probably the most popular; console emulators allow us to run a platform such as the PSX, NES or any other from our computer. This program needs ROMs, executables to install inside the emulator and thus be able to enjoy the video games of our parents' time or our childhood.

Best Android emulators
Surely, the most useful can be an Android emulator. For this reason, we recommend several of them:

Android Studio

This is an official tool for application and software developers. It is a complicated emulator to learn to use, but one of the most complete. In addition, it comes with different Android versions to test.
