Why choose powder fiberglass chopped strand mat? When large areas are involved multiple layers (ie. thicker laminates), the rosin saving will be a lot of pronounced with powder chopped STRAND MAT without sacrificing aesthetics – differential wetting is a lot of common with emulsion chopped STRAND MAT as a result of slower speed of dissolution within the styrene. the upper glass content (% glass fibre by weight) within the moulded composite would be evident with powder chopped STRAND MAT while internal control personnel conduct tests for these mechanical properties (tensile, flexural strength and modulus) on cut-out sections.

From an economical perspective, the implication is that the upper glass content will prove economical throughout thickness build-up; resulting in overall glass and resin savings and hence, reduced price.
