Attention - This is what will initially grab the reader to stop in their tracks with whatever they are doing and take a second to even read your opening headline to see if they even want to continue on. For example, you might want to take a look in your junk email box or search on Google AdWords for some ads and see what really grabs you. What words grab your attention? If your ad copy does not grab someone's attention then they will never read further into your sales letter.

Interest - After you have grabbed your reader's attention and made them stop right there in there tracks you are now going to have to pull them in further. Your reader must experience some interest to read further into your sales letter. Do you have them interested in enough to read further into what you have? If you do not they will just stop at the headline and say so what.

Desire - Your reader now has an interest in reading through your ad copy or sales letter. Now is the time to create desire. You need them to feel the desire for what you have to offer. This is now the desire for what you are selling or promoting. They need to really experience a desire to take the next step in the process, whether that be to buy or even just request more information from you with a telephone call or email.

Action - This is the part of the process that many people totally forget to do. Many people will create attention, interest, and desire, but never give a call to action. You absolutely need to call the reader to action. This can simply be as simple as buy now, click here, visit this website, or call me for more information. It really is that simple. Believe it or not, but if a reader is not given a call to action they are kind of just sitting there thinking oh ok. So you need to tell them what to do next. sales copy for email
