MAINTENANCE FREE CHEMICAL GEL EARTHING

A well designed earthing system is essential for any electrical installation to avoid the danger associated with fault currents, as established in the various national & international standards. Therefore, earthing protects both equipment and people against dangerous touch voltage.

A Low Voltage Earth Termination System aims:

  • To provide security for people by limiting the touch voltage.
  • To protect installations and equipment by providing a low impedance path.
  • To improve the quality of the signal by minimizing the electromagnetic noise.
  • To fix a reference voltage for the system equipotentialization.

A low Earth Resistance is essential for obtaining an efficient earthing. Conductors with an accurate section should be used in order to carry the expected current. Additionally, they must be durable against corrosion. The value of the electrical resistance must be measured, isolated from any other conductive element.

Therefore, it is necessary to use power breakers in order to separate the earthing from the rest of the installation during the measurements.

Other determining factors for designing the Earth Termination System are the following:

  • The resistance should be measured regularly so it is necessary to install an inspection pit.
  • The soil humidity will reduce the earthing resistance.
  • Earthing enhancing compounds reduce the soil resistivity.
  • Buried electricity and gas installations should be known in order to respect the security distances for each case.
  • Buried pipes and water tanks should be known in order to bond them equipotentially with the earth termination.

In low-conductivity soils, enhanced earthing electrodes along with the suitable back fill compound which is filled with natural minerals should be used in order to obtain a suitable earth resistance.

Although most electrical systems have fuses or circuit breakers for protection against a fault current, the human body may be fatally electrocuted by a current of less than one ampere which is well below the point at which a fuse or breaker will operate. Earthing helps minimize such hazards from occurring.

Our R&D team invested a good time and a great effort in manufacturing these products. RE Earthing product ranges are G.I. Pipe Earth Electrodes, Copper Pipe Earth Electrodes, G.I. Earth Rods, Copper Rod, Copper Bonded Steel Rod, Stainless Steel Rod, Zinc Bonded Steel Rod, etc.

COPPER EARTHING ELECTRODE

RE Earthing Electrodes is into the manufacturing of high quality copper earthing electrodes suitable for various sensitive applications. RE Chemrode is the unique name suited for the chemical earthing electrodes manufactured by us. These earthing electrodes are of highly reliable in operation and extend a long life.

RE earthing electrodes provide a low-impedance ground in locations where the soil resistivity is high (electrical conductivity is poor). A combined system of RE back fill compound (RE Reslow or RE Carbofill) along with the earthing electrode, the system offers a very high conductivity (less in ohmic value) to dissipate the high lightning energy and other dangerous electrical fault currents, even in sandy or rocky soil conditions.

RE copper earthing electrodes are specifically preferred by the customers for the “NEUTRAL” applications of Transformers, Generators, UPS, Servo stabilizers, etc.

FEATURES -

These systems provide long life to equipment, safety of the personnel, does not require any maintenance as well as reduces the maintenance cost. RE make chemical earthing system provides low resistance path in ground to any fault & leakage currents and ensure the smooth flow of the ground dissipation.

RE earthing electrode consists of primary earthing electrode (outer pipe) of 99.9% pure copper pipe. The hollow space of the electrode is duly filled with a highly conductive and non-corrosive compound which safeguards the electrode against any corrosion and helps in faster dissipation of the fault or leakage current flowing through the earthing electrode.

Both the ends of the Earthing Electrode are permanently sealed and the top portion of the copper pipe electrode is compressed under a hydraulic machine to form a lead terminal provided at the top with the 2 holes for connecting to the load/equipment. Since there is no joint on the top portion of the copper pipe earth electrode, the dissipation of the current is ensured to the maximum level and the ohmic value is maintained precisely.

Depending upon the soil conditions, back fill compounds are selected to install along with the earthing electrode. Reslow grounding minerals are selected for normal soil conditions & Carbofill grounding minerals is selected for rocky/sandy soil conditions.

ADVANTAGES -

RE Earthing Electrodes offer a very good grounding system which provides a low resistance path into the ground.

Faster Dissipation: RE earthing offer a lower resistance sothat the more likely the lightning, surge and fault currents will flow safely and dissipated to the ground.

Conductive surface area: The backfill compound along with the earth electrode provides the wider conductivity surface area into the ground in comparison to the conventional earthing system.

Conductive Minerals: The back fill compound – RE Reslow & RE Carbofill form a layer around the electrode and continuously increase the soil conductivity, further reducing impedance and resistance of the soil. Soil Augmentation: RE back fill compound is a combination of organic natural minerals which optimize the conductivity of the soil and reduce the resistivity around the earthing electrode. Depending upon the soil conditions, the quantity of the RE back fill compound is increased which shall decrease the soil resistance thus increasing the system efficiency.

Maintenance Free: RE earthing offers a maintenance free solution, no need of extra water pouring at regular interval as in conventional earthing as the back fill compound poses the nature of retaining the moisture for long time.

Constant Result: Irrespective of the climatic changes, the ohmic value is maintained constantly over a long period of time. Easy Installation: Can be installed indoors or outdoors and in almost all soil condition. For existing or new facilities, requires less space and time.

APPLICATIONS:

RE earthing system is widely used in Power utility, industries, commercial buildings, residential buildings, laboratory rooms, medical facilities, construction sites, repair workshops, mobile electrical installations, etc.

Efficient electrical earthing system plays a vital role in preventing the human being from electrocution and also it reduces the risk of electrical sparks/arcing which lead to the fire accidents.

  • Neutral application for Transformers, Generators, UPS, Stabilizer, etc
  • Crow-foot earthing system for external lightning protection system (i..e lightning air terminals to prevent the structure from direct lightning strikes)
  • Prevention of fatal accidents due to the flow of leakage current and stray current in the electrical system.
  • Maintain the GPR under the safety limit and provide the constant ohmic value for a longer period.
  • Zero reference grounding for the sensitive electronic equipments used in the data centers, communication & signal applications.
  • SRG – Signal Reference Ground designing for the data center application.
  • Used in Oil, Petrochemical & Gas industries.
  • Portable earthing system for the solar application.
