You are probably always looking for some fun and simple things to do with your kids to keep them busy, to keep your little ones from getting bored every time you are snowed in. To keep your children, active this winter, here are some excellent indoor activities:

  • Transforming your living room into a volleyball court is simple, and you do not even need a net. You may easily unwind a yarn ball and tie the string to the opposite walls instead. Only blow up a balloon for the ball and then try to prevent it from dropping or going over the line. Take hitting and serving turns.

  •  Fill up the coloured water bottles, arrange them neatly, and start knocking them down. Take turns, knocking down the bottles by rolling a ball with your kids. Only try to keep the score like a regular game of bowling.

  • Children love sweet and beautiful things, and their favourite pastime activity can quickly become cookie decorating. You may choose to buy or make up your pre-made dough and then decorate the cookies. As you remain warm in the kitchen, you can also prepare and bake together.

  • This is an effortless activity that allows you to conceal a fantastic prize, such as an ice cream cone, a video game, or even Minion toys, that your children are interested in. Then, in envelopes that are well concealed around the house, hide clues, build on each other until the reward is found.

  •  Most kids love to act, film, and then see themselves on camera. To record their success, which could be singing, dancing, or just playing with their toys, you can use your Smartphone or tablet. On your PC, you can even make a short film. Your child would undoubtedly love to see videos of themselves.

  •  Kids love surprises. So, fill an opaque bag with objects from around your house, and then let the little ones stick their hand to some object in the bag to latch on. Ask them to explain how the product looks, and then guess what it is. For several items, take turns filling the bag and assuming what is inside.

  •  You can play various games indoors with your children, including puzzles of Dora Game, board games, playdough, or white paper cut snowflakes.

Finally, when bored, you can still sit down with your kids and help them come up with their list of all the stuff they would like to do indoors. Then, make an activity jar for them to choose from and place the list inside.
