Frog life cycle is a long process and difficult too. Frogs lay a lot of eggs because very few of them hatch and produce offspring. Most of the eggs do not mature. Such eggs appear white or opaque. The few lucky ones start their journey from the central yolk that starts splitting into two which furthers keeps on dividing unless they start looking like small raspberries inside a yellow cup. Few days later the embryo starts getting longer turning into a tadpole which keeps moving inside the egg.

A Frog life cycle takes about 6 to 21 days on an average, after fertilization the eggs will hatch. Frogs lay eggs in calm water so that they do not break because of the turbulent flow of water. Frogs like the coast foam-nest tree frog mate on the branches of the trees near water bodies. In the sunlight, these cocoon like group of eggs dry out without letting the inside moisture dry. After hatching, the tadpole feeds on the leftover egg yolk. The tadpole at this stage has newly developed fragile gills, mouth and a tail. After 9 weeks of growing, the tadpole finally starts looking like a frog not fully developed and having a really long tail. After about 12 weeks, the frog becomes fully developed and looks like a young frog with a small tail ready to leave its aerial territory and step on the land. The tadpoles have small gills to breathe under water. These gills slowly disappear as the tadpole grows into a frog. Frogs only return in water to lay more eggs and to begin the whole process again.
