June and July are the best months to do the Hampta pass trek because you love the snow as the biting cold weather will give you the ultimate chills. For several, seeing snowfall at Hampta Pass in June with temperatures dropping to almost -15 degrees is a treat. Snow is the reason Hampta pass is renowned for trekking; the pass has lump sum snow, which in June and July attracts more visitors. If you are not a fan of cold weather and want to experience a lush landscape with plenty of flora and fauna, the sound of streams, and the gushing of the water, then you can prepare to go to the first week of July in mid-to-October. On the Hampta pass hike, October brings in fresh snowfall, rendering it inaccessible until next year in June. Due to its unusual high altitude grasslands during summers, shepherds often bring their sheep for grazing in this pass.

Rich flora and fauna, different types of wood such as oak, fir, maple, birch, pine trees with patches of snow, which add to the beauty of the trek, all have so much to offer the forests. Very calming to the eyes are the bright blue sky, rushing rivers, waterfalls, lush green meadows all around with different colourful wildflowers, and snowy landscape behind the Pir Panjal mountains. There are so many beautiful landscapes and hiking trails in this area and various other adventures!
