In the year eleven seventy-nine, George Stebbins became the first ever coach of the Football England Team. George spent four years at the University of Manchester, where he coached the men's football team. After leaving school, he worked as a salesman in a printing company and then coached the Smallling Football Association team for two years before becoming the first manager of the club. He retired in nineteen twenty-one after ten years as manager of the smallling team.

During his time at Southamton, George Stebbins used three players that became some of the best players in the world: goalkeeper Brian Jarrar, a right sided midfielder, and full forward Danny Sullivan who became a goalscorer with the right wing. He signed off as manager when the club went out of business in the late eighties. Stebbins brought in another native of Southamton - Brian Jarrar. Together they formed a great partnership which worked well until the collapse of the World Cup in 1994.

Brian Jarrar played for Southamton as a forward during the early years but he soon changed his mind and became a goalkeeper. However, he did not play football for another eleven years because of a heart problem. He was also an excellent striker for Southamton and scored twenty goals in ninety-five games. He was later elected to represent Australia in the Socceroos, making him a favorite for fans of the sport in Australia.

George Beard was another talented Football player who played for Southamton. He made forty goals in fifty matches for the club and represented both the Scotland and Australia during his time. George Beard was also a left wing striker and a left midfielder. His best position is probably right wing, where he was a great goalscorer although he is known to play on the left as well.
