Posted by Gail Thomson on February 3rd, 2021

With an exciting start to 2021 Purpose ID has been invited to collaborate with local Saudi Architects for interior design services for the hospitality sector for several projects within the Kingdom. With a focus on thekey projects forming the core of the Kingdoms’ 2030 Vision www.vision2030.gov.sa the developments include the Red Sea Project www.theredsea.sa , Neom www.neom.com and the ancient region of Alula www.experiencealula.com for the Royal Commission of Alula www.rcu.gov.sa.

Gail Thomson Founder & Creative Director of Purpose ID LLC www.purposeid.com explains why Purpose ID have been approached to get involved ‘The kingdoms 2030 vision will provide amazing opportunities for local Architects, having worked alongside them previously they understand that our extensive interior design experience within the hospitality sector with some of the worlds largest hotel groups such as Hilton, Accor, Radisson, IHG and Dusit will be an added value’ she adds  ‘our two design studios; Dubai and Denmark offer a truly international design approach to our projects, it’s the key to the design diversity that the Kingdom is looking for; our understanding of the Regions requirements as well as a sustainable design ethos which is firmly rooted in Danish design ’.

She believes that every project holds its own unique potential to be remarkable and enthusiastically encourages those around her to challenge the norms and harness the principles of the practice she founded in 2007. This approach however relies on the trust of clients, it is the key to any client relationship and admits that it takes time to nurture that trust and is worth the time to take the client on that journey of exploration, she believes that the result is the client is left with a sense of being completely involved and can confidently take ownership of their project and its design. Gail is naturally ebullient and enthusiastic, which is expressed in her passion for every project, regardless of its size or purpose. She understands when a space should be theatrical and dynamic or when it should be calm and serene, whilst always ensuring a timeless sensibility, believing that ultimately it should simply feel good to be there.
