2019 Antai International Partners Day Concludes Successfully

2019 Antai International Partner Day, organized by the International Office, was successfully held on October 24. Representatives from more than 30 international partner schools from 14 countries gathered at Antai College of Economics and Management. Dean Chen Fangruo gave a warm welcome to the delegates, introduced the recent achievements of Antai College of Economics and Management and the strategic focus of the future, and emphasized the importance of the business schools’ international cooperation. Wang Haihui, Director of the International Office, took Antai College of economics and management as an example, shared with delegates the internationalization steps, driving factors and organizational changes of Chinese business schools as well as achievements in international cooperation and exchanges. Under the theme of "Challenges and Sustainability of Student Mobility at Business Schools", Professor Yin Haitao, Associate Dean of Antai College of Economics and Management, presided over the seminar. Four guests from partner schools made keynote speech respectively. They are Dr. Robert Sandruck, Director of Global Programs from the North Carolina State University’s Business School, Ms. Antonia Maria Serra, Director of International Academic Relations from ESADE Business School, Ms. Lyan Ploumen, Director of International Relations from Maastricht University School of Business and Economics, Ms. Tracey Moore, International Relations Manager from ESSEC Business School. At the meeting, the delegates talked about the internationalization of their respective institutions and the challenges faced by students in the exchange process, discussed strategies for sustainable development, and put forward new ideas for sustainable and effective cooperation in the future.

During the conference, Antai College organized nearly 20 partner schools to participate in the "2019 SJTU Study abroad Fair", accounting for one-third of the overseas participating schools. The delegates also visited the SJTU campuses of Minhang and Xuhui and visited the SJTU’s history museum, marveling at the university's century-old history and remarkable developments.

This international partnership day provides a platform for international institutions to communicate with each other and a bridge for cultural exchanges. During the activity, Antai College of economics and management and nearly 10 partners reached agreements and intentions to deepen cooperation. At present, Antai College of economics and management has established various cooperative relations with more than 100 colleges around the world, with the proportion of the world's top 100 reaching 54%. Dean Chen Fangruo said, "International cooperation is far-reaching. Business schools have their own unique advantages. I hope the college can make greater contributions to the further reform and opening up of the country. "
