I actually came through this website this morning while searching about Yeti coolers Guide. I have seen people facing a lot of problems with Yeti gaskets. Problem Of Gasket Breaking Down 

Gasket breaking down is a problem which usually people face. Gasket breaking down is not actually a common problem with Yeti products but it can happen a lot of time. It depends on the \way you use it. Even I have faced such issues with my Yeti but honestly, it mostly depends on the usage. You may find issues with gaskets where the rubber seems to be breaking down or even breaking off a little bit or becoming firm. Reasons could be washing in the dishwasher, exposure to heat, breakdown from acidic drinks, a manufacturing defect, or maybe some other reason.

Obviously, you can't use an old breaking gasket so you have to purchase a new replacement gasket. Exceptional cases are always there, if the rubber gasket on your bottle is breaking down then I don't think you will get a replacement gasket. In such a case you have to purchase a whole new lid.

Here comes another issue of leaking lid which is common and actually a lot of people have complained about it. Leaking problems are irritating as I said earlier.
