Rules and games

Live Casino offers a wide range of wagering levels for Live Blackjack. Each table uses eight 52-card decks that are shuffled in one shoe, and shuffled periodically.

All active slots receive two face-up cards each. The dealer gets a hole card and an up card, and looks for Blackjack - if the dealer shows an ace, players can buy 'insurance', which pays 2 to 1 if the dealer has Blackjack. Players who receive Blackjack are paid at odds of 3 to 2.

The dealer must stay at 17 or higher, incl. a ‘soft 17’ (a hand with an ace that totals 17 or 7).

As a hand progresses, more choices become available. Players can double any two-card hand, which means doubling the original bet, to get only one more card.

Two-card hands with pairs (eg 8-8, 2-2, king-jack, queen-ten, etc.) can be split to create two hands, which costs an additional bet of the same amount. Players can split once, giving a total of two hands, and split aces only get one more card per hand.

It is not possible to 'give up' in Live Blackjack.

Blackjack variants

The Live Blackjack tables are open 24 hours a day. Different tables provide different options, e.g. private tables (only for our players), tables for English and German, the option to ‘play behind’ and various types of side games.

Live blackjack strategy

Because blackjack has aroused a lot of curiosity, we have created a guide with fantastic tips that both beginners and advanced players can benefit from. With the help of our strategies and tips on how to best play Live Blackjack, you can get from beginner level to professional in no time.

When should you stay or take a card? In what way does "Bet Behind" take blackjack to the next level? Read on to find out.

To stay or hit

One of the most important decisions you face when playing Live Blackjack is whether to take cards or stay. Making the right decision is crucial to increasing your profits.

Our live dealer is likely to take cards with a hand worth 16 or less. If you have a hand worth 17 or less, you have a much worse odds unless the dealer exceeds 21.

Doubling in live blackjack

The fastest way to win at Live Blackjack is to double when you get the chance. Depending on whether you double at the right or wrong time, you can either double your winnings or lose twice as much. We recommend doubling all hands worth 11.

Split in live blackjack

This feature can be a real lifeline if you use it at the right time.

We do not recommend splitting tens and fives, but you should always split eights and aces. Splitting a pair into eights increases your chances of winning because the chance of both hands ending up over 16 is much greater.
