Exercise injuries are very common, especially if you are a beginner. And these injuries are very dangerous for your health and life.

As a beginner, people are very enthusiastic to hit the training sessions. They start doing things that are not advised and hurt themselves. They damage their body parts and suffer for the entire life. Sometimes, they go beyond the limits and take their lives to the death.

Physical fitness is important but not by damaging or risking your life. You should work out regularly and achieve your fitness goal by taking a few precautions and by following the 7 simple things.

You should see your doctor

Before you begin training, you should consult your doctor for a fitness test. Physical training means placing stress on your body, especially on the joints and cardiovascular system. Your doctor will conduct all the necessary fitness tests and declare if your capability to follow a physical regime. He/she will also determine your limitations and impact on your heart.

You should hire a personal trainer

We know it will increase your expenses but nothing is more important than your health. If not for a lifetime, you should at least hire a personal trainer for the time you are completely trained. He will structure a fitness plan and help you start safely based on your goal. He will also keep your bad habits away that can affect your fitness training.

You should start slowly and increase gradually

We said above that beginners often throw themselves into training to achieve results quickly and it’s not right. On the advice of a personal trainer, you should start slowly like for around 20 minutes thrice a week. You should increase the time and days of training gradually. Week by week, you should change the routine.

You should warm-up before exercise

Whether you are working out alone or with a personal trainer, warn up is important. You shouldn’t jump straight into weight training or a treadmill before stretching or getting warmed up. People often get mistaken that excellent health conditions don’t need any warm-up. But you need to understand that risk of injury is very high if the body is not warmed up.

You shouldn’t work out an empty stomach

We know you are exercising to lose weight or stay in shape but it does not mean you won’t eat before a workout. While exercising, you burn calories and need fuel to keep going. So you shouldn’t begin the training without filling your tank. But remember; don’t start exercising immediately after a big meal. Similarly, you should hydrate yourself before working out.

You should dress properly for the training

You might be surprised to read this, but the wrong clothes and shoes indeed lead to exercise injuries. You should know your workout schedule and decide the clothes accordingly. You can take help from a personal trainer. The clothes and footwear should protect against impact, strain, or overheating.

You should listen and feel your body

Most fitness trainers follow the “No pain, no gain” mantra, which is absolutely wrong. You shouldn’t exert and hurt your body; instead, you should make it fun. In case your body feels excess pain, you should back-off and give it a rest. If you are ill, you should skip for a day or two or try out low-intensity exercises.

By doing such simple things, you will avoid exercise injuries and stay safe. Also, you will achieve your fitness goal successfully with ease.
