Digital cameras have taken the world by storm. Almost everyone has a digital camera on hand wherever they go. The best thing about having a digital camera is that you get to take pictures anytime you want to. However, when it comes to printing them, we often pay studios or booths to have them printed. But what if you don't want to spend that much for the prints? The best solution is for you to buy a digital photo printer.

The joy of digital photography is that you can share it with others. Once downloaded onto your computer the photos are digital files. Therefore they are not only stored electronically they can be moved around in many ways. The internet, a click of a button and your photos appear on the other side of the world in an instant. They means you Aunt Sally in Australia can have instant photos of her nephews and nieces in England within a few minutes of them actually being taken.

All piano companies strive to duplicate the grand piano sound. For example, when you play a key, it will sound different depending on how hard you press it. The most basic digital pianos do not have this feature. These pianos are not velocity-sensitive. The more expensive pianos are velocity sensitive, and it differs from piano to piano. Some digital pianos may only have one velocity layer. Some may have 10 velocity layers. Of course, more layers generally mean more expressivity in your performances. You can truly bring your composition to life because these digital pianos notice all the nuances and subtleties in your performance.

I'm sold on the advantages that digital has and I'm hoping that if you have never thought of going digital with your scrapbooks before that this will at least get you thinking.

Since digital shook the industry in the early nineties, I have yet to see emerging talents such as Ansel Adams, Andre Kertez, Edward Weston, Henrie Cartier Bresson, John Sexton and dozens of others who produced stunning images. They all used the most basic of cameras and yet achieved eminence. This master level of creativity is gone and I don't expect to see them back until this generation of photographers mature in another decade or so.

In the case of a family memory book or school year scrapbook, you collect things like old homework, party invitations, school ribbons, awards and in this day and age... even your Tweets and text messages. Save the digital items in a directory and scan or photograph the rest and add them to the same directory so everything you need is in one place.

Your digital photo has now become digital art. You've made it into something that wasn't captured with the camera in the shot. You've added elements to the shot to enhance the image. You've taken an OK digital photo, and made it an interesting digital art image. You've made chicken out of water and noodles.

Digital cameras can develop good digital habits use up batteries at an appalling rate, especially if you choose the wrong kind of batteries. In fact the second worst thing about digital cameras, after their price, is their battery consumption. Cameras vary in their power usage. An average digital camera has a consumption of 1000mA (milliamps) when it's running with the LCD turned on. In that case, if you had a set of 1000mAh (milliampere-hour) batteries in the camera, you could figure on getting about an hour of running time out of them. 2000mAh batteries would give you twice as much time, and so on.
