The first Navodaya School started in India in 1985. Nowadays there are around 600 above Jawahar Navodaya Schools in India. These schools were primarily established to impart education among rural children.  But, these days lots of students from middle-class general families enroll in these schools. The specialty of these Navodaya schools is that they allow students from all cultural backgrounds irrespective of their socio-economic condition. The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti of Delhi oversees all these Navodaya schools and their education standard. This Samiti conducts an entrance examination all over India for admission of students into such schools.

Generally, students of classes six and nine compete in the Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam. The exam is OMR sheet-based and is conducted offline. Students can take the entrance test in their regional language. The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti sets the paper in no less than 21 languages. This pen-paper examination is for two hours. Each correct answer adds 1.25 marks, but there is no system of negative marking. To prepare young children for such examinations there is Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam Preparation App (JNVST). Let's know in detail about the features of this particular app.

  • Such an app sets different courses for mental ability, arithmetic test, and language test. There are plenty of Online Video Lectures for JNVST. They upload lecture videos of skilled teachers from across the country.

  • The mental ability test contains 40 questions. The app uploads video lectures for each of the topics. There are video lectures on pattern completion, figure matching, analogy, mirror imaging, embedded figure, and so on.

  • In general, there are about 15 video lectures for arithmetic topics. These topics are number system, fractions, LCM and HCF, Decimal system, Distance, Speed, Profit and Loss, Simple Interest, Percentage, etc. The arithmetic section also includes some problems with number lines.

  • The JNVST app includes a lot of reading comprehension assignments in the language course. The difficulty level varies for class six and class nine courses. These online lecture videos will allow the students to learn at their own pace and will ensure a better understanding of the topics.

  • This app takes a mock test of students too and analyzes the result of the candidates. This way, those who appear for the multiple-choice examination for the first time, get to prepare in a better way. The tests assess the errors made by the students and encourage them to focus on their weak areas.

There are numerous courses in this JNVST preparation app. All these courses are pretty affordable. If you enroll in any of these courses, you don't have to study from the book separately. The online video lectures cover almost every single topic. But, before purchasing any such course, it is suggested to go through the demo lectures once. So, what are you waiting for? Open the website, place the order and start preparing for the upcoming Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Examination.
