A Brief History of RV Dental College

The RV Dental College is one of the institutions coming under the Rashtreeya Sikshana SamitheeTrust. It was established in the year 1992. It has been recognized by the Dental Council of India. It has been affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The college is spread over a large campus with wonderful state of the art infrastructure to support quality dental education for students. The faculty is highly sound and experienced. Frequent seminars and workshops are held in the campus to prepare the dentists to work in all kinds of environments with greater confidence. The curriculum is designed in accordance to the social needs and modern developments in dental treatments. The course of BDS extends to about 5 years in which one year compulsory internship is included.

RV Dental College admission is done in accordance with government and University norms. The students must appear for an entrance test to get a chance to study dental course in the college. The students must be at least 17 years of age to get into the undergraduate courses. The subjects of study in 10+2 level must be Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a good hold in English language. Decent marks in the Board examinations can guarantee a place in the institution. The students must be able to appear for interviews or written tests conducted by the college. The students must be physically fit to start studying here. The postgraduate courses in 9 disciplines are available in the college. The students willing to do postgraduate courses must complete the BDS course with good results from a DCI recognized college. The full term of internship must be completed for a seat in the postgraduate course of study.

RV Dental College direct admission is also possible for candidates coming from known sources. They are charged more than the normal course fee as the seat is kept reserved. Candidates coming from recommended sources from administrative departments get these seats. These students may not have to compete with others during admission but have to do well to earn good grades for achieving the degree.

RV Dental College management quota admission is done for candidates coming from other states and countries at a different time. They may not have very good marks in the 10+2 level of studies, but have the urge to study the course for future career choices. These students will have to pay higher fees for getting these seats.

RV Dental College NRI quota admission is made possible by the institution for students coming from other countries to pursue these courses of study. High capitation fees are charged for giving them extra accommodation comforts. These students must show their disciplined attitude towards the course by remaining attentive in classes and attaining good grades in the semesters.
