The furniture we know today was developed from foreign influence. History can never be created or plagiarized! The original remains original. Furniture has never been a  part of Indian tradition, it’s only known for its durability and fine structure. This does not mean that its forms were not known to our ancestors. But because the old furniture type was not in common use, it never became popular in those days.
