Today, Peru is following very closely in the footsteps of Colombia and Brazil and its hospitality and tourism industries are evolving in a big way. The economy has strengthened in a very significant way and the government in Peru is boosting a lot of incentive to attract new investment in the country’s infrastructure. Apart from this, the successful  mining  industry  in the country is helping  in  improving the income levels of people  living  here; which in  turn  has given a boost  to a larger  number of  domestic  travelers.

The Change

The government knows that by promoting tourism, a larger number of job opportunities are created in the country. With this in view, it is now improving the infrastructure and Lima is one of the cities that have got a distinct boost from all these efforts. Today tourists from across the world, stay at some of the best hotels in Lima and visit the different places of interest, in and around the city. Of course, there are a number of downtown areas which have not received much attention in terms of improvement in infrastructure, but many localities are modern and have a distinctively contemporary look.

Best Hotels in Lima - Central Location

Some of the best hotels in Lima are very centrally-located and this is a distinct convenience for people visiting the city. It becomes a central point for them and they visit places of tourist attraction within the city limits as well as outside. The airport is only 7 miles away from many of these hotels, which is a distinct benefit too.  There was a time when the development in terms of infrastructure wasn’t so good in Lima, and a number of hotels were state-owned & managed by 3rd parties.

Good Growth

But all of that has changed and today, the country is welcoming outside investors with open arms which is helping the industry grow in a very significant way. Today, a lot of money in coming into Peru from outside and people from different countries are looking to invest here.

This influx has also attracted a lot of visitors and people are now showing a great deal of interest in visiting the country and Lima, its capital city. Despite the no-so-attractive grey fog that covers the city for a large part of the year, people flock to it, stay at some of the best hotels in Lima and visit its many ancient and historic buildings, structures and ruins.
