With the intense pressure of getting into a quality university, parents are doing all they can to give their child a head start in life. And the Early Learning Centre in Bangkok is becoming a magnet to parents planning ahead to ensure their child excels in their education and ultimately succeeds in life.

The Early Learning Centre in Bangkok is one of the only places in the city that offers an Early Learning Stage Foundation, or EYSF education.

What is EYFS?

EYFS is an education programme that every preschool child in the UK experiences. It's based on four guiding principles, which are:

  • Every child is a unique human student who constantly learns and is confident, capable and has infinite possibilities.

  • Develop positive relationships, and you’ll give a child the confidence they need to develop their ability to learn and test the boundaries of their intellect.

  • Provide an enabling environment that allows a child to feel comfortable exploring the world around them.

  • Children come from different backgrounds. They have different ways of learning and may learn at different rates.

Together these four principles form the manner in which each child in the Bangkok Early Learning Centre is educated, cared for, and their progress is assessed. The EYFS curriculum stresses that all children are treated with the same compassion and understanding, especially those who are special needs children and have disabilities, whether physical, emotional or educational.

Unique Ways of Teaching for Unique Children

The lessons and classes at the Early Learning Centre in Bangkok, for the most part, take the form of playing games and exploring. The lessons are designed to instil a love of education in a child from the day they first enter the classroom. The lessons are always positive and focus on the abilities of each child.

There are seven areas that the EYFS curriculum refers to as 'prime learning areas. They consist of:

  • Communications and Language

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development

  • Physical Development

  • Understanding the World

  • Mathematics

  • Literacy

  • Expressive Arts and Design

A child who enrols in an EYFS programme at the Early Learning Centre in Bangkok and stays with the programme throughout their preschool days will have a grasp of these subjects that will enable them to explore the sciences, languages, technology, medicine, the fine arts and business. Or any subject that interests them.

The subjects provide the tools that students need throughout their educational career. These are the tools that will enable them to pass the admissions requirements for the world’s finest universities.

The UK government adopted the EYFS programme in 2006 as a standard level of education for pre-schoolers. In 15 years, it has shown remarkable results and been adopted by both private and public schools worldwide.

If you want to provide your child with a head start their academic career, contact the Early Learning Centre in Bangkok to take a tour of their facilities and learn more about the benefits of enrolling your child in the EYFS curriculum.
