If you do not live on Mars and from time to time you read information, you should already know that socially, 2014 is being a turbulent year in the United States.

The killing of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old African-American and a 12-year-old boy , also African-American, both at the hands of white policemen, has sparked protests in the presumed country of opportunity, freedom and democracy.

Yes, the year of greatest racial tension in America since 1968, Apple's Christmas ad stars African-Americans.

Okay, it's not a Malcom X series. Not even a Martin Luther King speech or a tribute to Rosa Parks (who were already honored in the legendary Think Different spot). But it is undeniable that the wink, the declaration of intent, is there.

Beyond this nod to the African-American population, this is a spot that works, but will not be remembered by viewers for long. It is simply a change.

New digital marketing strategies promote new types of advertising on the internet . Now Apple seeks to generate leads and generate prospects by linking marketing and technology with a nod to social and political reality on the part of its huge market.

It follows the line of Apple's spots in recent years, a life story that includes a product demonstration and an emotional message, instead of resorting to a powerful concept as Think Different or Mac vs Pc was at the time .

Effective and compliant, rather than revolutionary and remembered by all. Pretty much the same as Apple's product line for a while.
