Fix Laptop Battery not Charging

Check the basics

Test first with the basics before you switch to deeper troubleshooting. Please ensure you have securely inserted the laptop charging cable into the charging port of the laptop. Then double-check the relation to the connecting port, in case the system doesn’t fit, probably try another outlet.

Don’t neglect to check the link where the cable fits into the AC adapter. If it slipped and fell over it, it might have gotten loose.

Power Adapter Check

Please ensure that your adapter is plugged into the correct port on your laptop. A lot of laptops have only one charge plug position, but if you have a newer device, this could use USB-C to charge. Try all USB-C ports on your laptop, as some may be for data transfer only. You can use the initial charger that comes with the laptop for the best performance.

Duplicate chargers can kill the battery and cause long-lasting damage. Third-party versions may not use the correct wattage, which may result in the laptop being charged incredibly slowly or not at all. This is particularly true of USB-C cables, as these are not intended to charge devices as large as a laptop.
