How to make learning fun for a toddler

School is not the only play where toddlers start learning, because it starts at home with parents. You can always encourage your kids to experiment with life skills and basic concepts of what they will learn at school.

But the important thing to remember is to make the learning process fun; otherwise your kids will not be interested enough. Here are some learning activities for 3-year-olds that will entertain toddlers and educate them in the process.

  • Painting

Painting is such a relaxing and creative hobby and equally entertaining. You can either encourage your kids to learn your surroundings and paint them, or they can observe items here and there to paint them. The important part is that they are having fun and yet learning.

Painting, however, can be a messy activity so make sure they are sitting on a mat or someplace where paint or colors cannot mess with other stuff.

  • Solving puzzles

Solving puzzles might not be something your kids will be interested in initially. But once you have worked with them to solve a puzzle successfully, they will finally feel the thrill of it. Make sure you buy the easy and fun ones at first. If your kid likes cars or airplanes, you can buy puzzles where the end product is a car or airplane.

  • Playdough

Playdough is such a versatile playing item. Your kid can use it to create various shapes. Give them a rolling pin, cutters, and other tools to have fun. Playdough activities are always fun for kids, and they get to boost their creativity and imagination skills.

  • Building blocks

Building blocks are not something that is entertaining for kids alone. And for this reason, you can enjoy building blocks with your kids. Buy a set of lego kits, and start building new structures with your kids.

You can make it more entertaining by competing with each other to build towers and other fun structures.

  • Household chores

Some kids want to do what their parents are doing. While that can be a problem in most cases, some household chores can be easy and harmless for kids. You can encourage your kids next time to involve in household chores. Not only will it make them feel responsible but also confident when done right. Simple chores like wiping windows glass, unloading the dishwasher, etc. can be fun and engaging.

Conclusion
