Self help deals mostly with the concept of self-development. Development of the self occurs in various stages and incorporates many facets that need to be explored. Self-help can be understood as the furthering of development of the self through self-realisation, self-actualisation and exploring of the self. We as humans have the ability to change aspects of ourselves that people may be unhappy with. The ability to change these areas of ourselves and incorporate characteristics will ultimately empower us and the way we think about ourselves. Self help is more of a psychological endeavour than other things and thus may take time and energy to identify what we are in need of help with and how to get started the procedure of the developing ourselves. Often, self-help can be gotten from books which specialise on the topic or from certified therapists who can guide you through the procedure. If you have made a decision to attempt the journey of self-development, you should remember some key fundamental aspects that you'll need to consider from the beginning: for one, you must become your personal self-evaluator of sorts, so what is it you wish to develop or change about yourself? Secondly, can you maintain an objective stance towards your own development? Can you survey your changes that will be conducive to your ultimate growth? The ability to honestly work out who you are and the changes you intend to make is already an enormous step in the self-development process. The ability to challenge yourself is the goal of self-help and in this way, change the areas of yourself which will make you are feeling better as a person. As a way to begin the self-help process, you should critically analyse facets of your daily life that you feel may need changing. Look at the following list of aspects and have yourself if this is where the change has to be made: Morals and Values Stress, anxiety and fears Dependency on persons or substances Anger and rage Understanding of ourselves and family members Depression, happiness or ideas of the self Expectations Self-control This is just to list a few of the concepts that you will have to look at in order to ascertain exactly where you imagine you need help. Once introvert have noted the things you would like to work on, you need to create a list of priorities and begin to slowly work at facing and coping with the challenges accessible. Remember, this process may bring about you feeling more vulnerable or insecure than when you initially started, but admitting the changes that require to me made may be the first step to self-realisation. Self-realisation occurs when we have the ability to gain insight into ourselves, the ability to do so depends entirely on your willingness to work hard at self-development and whether or not you are strong enough to thoroughly unpack the good and also the bad aspects of yourself. After you have laid it out before you to examine, it is possible to properly begin to work out and sift through what's both quite unnecessarily and undeniably important.
