Muslimah Fashion is primarily influenced by the Holy Quran, which instructs its followers that clothing is an adornment for the body but should not be worn in ways that attract unwanted attention or admiration. Instead, Muslim Fashion portrays an effortless and sober dressing style and does not encourage excessively fancy or revealing dresses. However, despite being simple and uncomplicated, Muslim Fashion is considered one of the most decent and stylish fashion trends. Be it the much adorned Hijab or Abayas, Tudung or Kimonos, Muslim Women surely know how to dress up most simple but still stand out in a room full of dresses up men and women.

Muslimah fashion has paved a new definition of dressing up where showing skin is no more considered the only way of being fashionable.  Baggy jeans, Long skirts and wide length office trousers are the latest fashion trends initially started by the Muslim countries and now gaining popularity all around the globe. 1. Abayas are long robe-like dresses meant to cover the whole body from the neck down to the feet. Fresh and latest style Abayas often come in smooth materials like silk or satin and are also embellished with stones or pearls around the neck and waist. Many abayas are accompanied by a stylish belt as well. Abayas are usually paired with a headscarf in a similar or contrast colour.

2. Blouse labuh is a tunic-like dress with full sleeves which goes up to the knee and can be worn with a pair of jeans, palazzos, leggings or a vibrant sarong.  They usually come in plain colours or with polka dot designs. Printed Blouse labuhs are not much in Fashion. It is a very famous form of dressing among young Muslim women, primarily due to its elegant look and comfort. These as well can be paired with beautiful solid colour headscarves and a pair of cool sneakers.

3. Tudung (commonly known as Hijab) is considered an essential part of Muslim Fashion and is worn with almost all dresses by Muslim women. Tudung is derived from the Malay word- Tudong, which means the cover and is worn as a veil or headscarf.  These come in beautiful vibrant colours and soft materials and are owned by Muslim women in almost all colours to match their everyday outfits.

4. Kurung is a traditional outfit that comprises a blouse dress with long sleeves and a blouse extending up to the waist or knee, and a sarong(skirt). The blouse and the skirt may come in a similar pattern or contrast colours. The fancy ones comprise heavily embroidered blouses and are accompanied by a matching colour Tudung. Kurungs are usually worn by Muslim women in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

5. Kebaya is an upper garment usually worn with a sarong with the front secured with either brooches, pins or buttons. They are made from lightweight fabrics like lace, cotton or brocade and are often heavily embroidered. However, Kabaya is the national costume of Indonesia but is popularly worn by women in Java, Sudan, and Bali. Kebaya is a Southeast Asian fashion icon and is adopted by various airlines as their official uniform for female flight attendants.
