This is the first article in some articles I'm doing on SEO. So let's start from the beginning and clarify the word"SEO" and what it really is SEO stands for "Search Engine Optimization " Ok! But what does that actually mean? It's a traffic strategy to get higher search rankings for your website on GOOGLE, YAHOO, MSN, etc. for several popular keywords that people are trying to find. So what are the benefits of SEO? Profile Links get FREE targeted prospects to your internet site from Google, Yahoo, Msn along with other search engines out there. Once you get your site ranked on the various search engines for a specific keyword you're targeting, the FREE traffic is ongoing this means: The traffic keep coming in.......The leads keep to arrive.......The customers keep coming in........You continue to build your downline. There are literally huge amount of money in potential traffic available. There is absolutely no risk! SEO is Free, you do not pay for the listing in comparison to PPC (PPC or Google AdWords). And that means you don't ever enter dept doing it, the one thing you risk is your time. This is a essential aspect for a lot of people trying to get a small business going on the Internet. Just to understand this straight, with SEO You obtain your listings on the Natural serp's which on Google are to the left compared to PPC (The sponsored links) which are on the right. Now there's a very important factor that's very important to understand about SEO which is, generally speaking people have a tendency to trust the natural serp's (on the left) in comparison to PPC since it says, "Sponsored links". A company called eyetools.com have already been tracing peoples eye movements when they search on Google and they found that a lot of the attention is on the left side and what that means is that at the top 1-2 positions there's 3-4 times the traffic that's going there than on PPC. Given that doesn't mean PPC is no good, it's great and you will get great results from PPC, but the potential of getting increased traffic from the natural searches are much higher. So let's have a look on SEO vs. AdWords (PPC) Pay Per Click: Costs money $$$$$: --content--.3 to per click Ongoing maintenance: You have to match what's going on on Google so you don't get slapped,You will need to keep learning and growing to make PPC a successful strategy. High competition: Others can knock you off #1 simply by paying more and you also lose that traffic. Benefits: Instant traffic within 15 minutes, Forces one to optimize for conversions because every click costs money. SEO ( SEO) Rank for quality value keywords The difference between quality value and high traffic keywords is that there are a lot of keywords that may give you a lot of traffic but not necessarily enable you to get any money. SEO efforts focus on keywords that converts to money, leads and distributors for the business Difficult for others to overtake your situation. They can't buy their way up there, they must do the task and the cool thing about SEO is it isn't obvious how to get your site ranked up there, so once you've figured it out your competition then have to learn what you spent so enough time learning and perhaps they have to do SEO better that you because you have a lead start on them. SEO is passive ongoing traffic As soon as you get those rankings you merely sit back and focus on other aspects of your marketing funnel. Generally more traffic than PPC I hope that you with this particular article now know very well what SEO is, the huge benefits and how it differs from PPC.
