The Most Popular Cafes London

Yet more evidence of the Aussie invasion of London , Dayrooms Cafe is yet another coffee shop inspired by the land down under. So, if you’re looking for an uber cool Notting Hill coffee shop to impress your stylish friends, this brunch hotspot is a great choice. Notting Hill is well-known for its fabulous shopping as well as its equally-fabulous coffee shops, so you just knew that somewhere along the way, someone was going to combine them. From Marylebone to Knightsbridge, Feya is the cute London cafe that’s all about brunch + patisserie. Expect a bright interior that’s ideal for catch ups over coffee. As part of Locke Hotels collection of stunning staycation spot, Locke at Broken Wharf is the riverside outpost home to Insta-worthy interiors + a banging brunch menu. No matter if you’re a freelancer in need of a desk or came for live DJs on the weekend, there’s a bit of everything here. With foliage that changes with the seasons, Dalloway Terrace is a must all year round. The indulgent menu features breakfast, brunch, dinner + afternoon tea, though you can’t go wrong with a few cocktails. There is a reason why authentic Italian restaurants hold a special place in my heart, because they understand that celiacs love food too and want to eat everything. Thankfully, Cotto’s owner is a celiac who understands that and has made almost everything on their menu available as a gluten-free option. The only things we can’t have are the calzones and the stuffed pasta. Gluten-free meals are made in a dedicated kitchen, while gluten-free products are stored separately to avoid cross-contamination. By the way, there’s also espresso martini and coffee beer on tap. Follow the trail of shoppers and locals grasping coffee cups on Redchurch Street and you’ll end up at Allpress Espresso Bar. It’s one of the original and best Kiwi coffee shops in Shoreditch, has a minimal and cool feel, and even serves a bit of food, like toasted sandwiches and eggs and soldiers. Yolkin, one of the most Instagrammable restaurants in London, is located next to the Piccadilly Circus (really, couldn’t be more central) just one street before China Town. Restaurants across the UK are now operating with COVID-secure safety measures in place, which include face masks, temperatures checks, sanitiser stations, and one-way systems. The government’s recent “Eat out to Help Out” scheme, which offers a 50% discount at selected restaurants Monday-Wednesday, has also been put in place to encourage more Brits to eat out this summer. Pretty locations, even prettier food, pink tables that make a perfect background for all those Instagram pictures, and let’s not talk about the coffee. The pastel colourful décor will brighten your mood whilst the flowers and bare brick walls will brighten your Instagram feed. Overlooking the beautiful canals and backwaters of London you will find Café Laville nestled in Little Venice. Dine by the water al fresco style as you watch the houseboats calmly and peacefully sail the canals in a breath of fresh air from the normal busy streets of London. Its ground-floor wine bar doubles as a bakery, already known for its sourdough; supplies are limited, so invest in a loaf on arrival. Stools—reserved for walk-ins—line the window and marble counter, which overlooks the kitchen (tiny is an understatement; even four chefs seems a squeeze). With limited space for storage , the menu is deliberately simple. It’s all about the best ingredients, combined into flawless small travel plates, from anchovy toast draped in cured Noir de Bigorre ham to a springy lettuce salad, laced with preserved lemon, parmesan, and toasted hazelnuts. Behind a discreet grey frontage, Pidgin is understated but buzzing, and its tiny size belies its big ambitions. Dishes, which change every week, artfully riff on texture as well as taste, like Jerusalem artichoke cooked three ways and served with silky miso custard. I’ll never forget the first time I walked into Mayfair’s Sketch. I was overwhelmed by the colors, the designs, and the fact that I felt like I was being transported into one world after another. Like Saint Aymes, Aubaine Selfridges has embraced London’s love of wisteria. The food is regional, seasonal, and thoroughly British, from suet-crusted pie and mash to deviled kid-liver skewers. The wine list is lengthy, and the cocktail menu offers punchy house creations alongside classics. It’s enjoyable in a different way at any time of day, from a breakfast bacon roll in upscale surrounds to a blowout dinner. This Australian style café offers excellent coffee and health food options that are all the rage right now including that Instagrammable acai bowl! I am grateful to be here in the Permit Room in our restaurant in Shoreditch scribbling and writing, the oddly enjoyable taste of splintering wood from my chewed up pencil smoothed by my decently strong drink. Our events bring people of all walks of life together to celebrate culture and food. Bombay breakfast, lunch, afternoon chai, dinner and late tipples. Shared spaces beget shared experiences, and Bombay was more open and welcoming for the existence of these cafés. The women said they did not book, but walked into the restaurant and were not asked by the maitre d’ if they were from separate households. The restaurant manager, who asked the Guardian reporter to leave the restaurant, said he realised that the three tables of four people broke the rules. The interiors are decked out in blush pink, and white blossoms adorn the ceilings and exterior. Try the Rose Avo Toast with pink beetroot hummus, and the picturesque Happiness Pancakes. Possibly my favourite of the Instagram cafes, Saint Aymes in Marble Arch is known for it's beautiful exterior, surrounded with delicate flowers for the perfect alfresco dining snap. They do the usual range of cakes and other sweet treats, plus 24k gold hot chocolates if you're feeling really extravagant. At Redemption Bar in Notting Hill the owners created a place where you can socialize with friends, eat healthy, drink healthy, and not destroy your liver in the process. They call it “spoiling yourself without spoiling yourself”…it’s brilliant if you ask me. Hobson’s Fish and Chips is the only non-gluten free restaurant that offers gluten-free fish and chips every day of the week. The gluten-free battered fish, onion rings, and fries are all fried in a dedicated fryer and they are well versed on cross-contamination and how to avoid it. Besides their gluten-free fish, almost all the starters and sides are gluten-free. For dessert you can finish off your meal with a warm apple crumble or deep-fried Mars bars. Now, it’s one of the most popular destinations for tourists seeking a fancy afternoon tea set composed of decadent desserts or savory lunches reminiscent of Austro-Hungarian Empire cuisine. While you’re waiting for your drinks and/or food, enjoy listening to live classical music and marvel at the intricate Italian Renaissance-style architecture. San Sebastian is known more for their Pintxos (Basque-style tapas) than for their coffee, but this little café just outside the main town was ideal for grabbing a morning cup. They have excellent Wi-Fi if you’re looking for a place to get some work done, plus delicious and light brunch options. The space has a clean, modern feel that Instagrammers will be buzzing about for days. The interior offers plenty of natural light if you sit near the window side, but if you opt for seating further inside the café, you’ll get a darker, moodier vibe.
