PREAMBLE

The concept of World Peace Tracts was conceived in 2005, by the Founder while watching a war propaganda drop in Iraq by the US military. That gave Yosef the idea to invert the process of war and suffering into an agent of Hope and Peace, converting “Swords into Plowshares”

The WPT Peace Formula of Peace Tracts and PeacePaks are effective, complementary and well recieved. Peace Tracts are short message comics that tell stories of love and peace. PeacePaks are packages that contain Peace Tracts and other items useful for those receiving them.

World Peace Tracts is established as an international diplomatic and logistical network to bring hope, change hearts and reduce hate. WPT is mandated to lobby for peace, alleviate the sufferings of war, reduce violence, broker peace between warring parties and to secure the release of captives of war and conflict.

ARTICLE 1: MISSION STATEMENT

To bring hope, change hearts and reduce hatred and violence. To Lobby for peace, alleviate the sufferings of war, broker truce between warring parties and to secure the release of hostages and captives of war and conflict.

⦁ (a) World Peace Tracts shall promote world peace by all legal means including lobbying for peace in the media and government, brokering truce between conflicting parties, creating and distributing Peace Tracts and PeacePaks in conflict areas around the world through an international network of World Peace Ambassadors and Member Societies. WPT shall also distribute Peace Tracts and PeacePaks, anywhere hatred and misunderstanding is prevalent, including space, cyberspace, inner cities or wherever conflict exists.

(b) Peace Tracts © are short message comics utilizing real life stories whenever possible to promote understanding and decrease hatred.

(c) PeacePaks © are care packages that contain items deemed useful for victims of war and conflict or to enhance the acceptance of Peace Tracts.

(d) World Peace Ambassadors © are a world wide diplomatic core of citizen ambassadors for peace, mandated to be a voice of Peace and Hope, to lobby for peace to governments, business and media leaders. To secure an end to hostilities and the release of captives, working in accordance with the law and in concert and by direction of World Peace Tracts Headquarters.

⦁ WPT is a non-political and non-biased organization that will remain neutral in any conflict. WPT shall not promote any political views or politicians, other than its stated goals of promoting “Peace through Understanding”. WPT does not support any system of government over another believing that our goals are best achieved by adhering to our non-partisan and non-political principals. WPT will not compromise its unbiased stance no matter how right or worthy the cause may actually be but rather will work to help by achieving our goals.

ARTICLE 2: ESTABLISHMENT OF WORLD PEACE TRACTS

World Peace Tracts, founded jointly in Uppsala, Sweden, and Jerusalem, Israel, in 2007, with the abbreviation WPT, is a non-profit organization with legal personality, established according to the regulations governing non-profit organizations in the State of Sweden, and operates as an independent legal entity. The main website of the organization shall be: PeaceTracts.org

ARTICLE 3: HEADQUARTERS, EMBLEM AND MOTTO

⦁ The headquarters of WPT is in Uppsala, Sweden. Its founding and officially recognized National Member Society and cohead is based in Jerusalem, Israel, and named “World Peace Tracts of Israel”

⦁ The WPT emblem is composed of a round world map with a train rolling clockwise around the top of the world. There is a ribbon across the center with the words World Peace Tracts. WPT may from time to time update its logo on its website and other informational material as PeaceTracts.org it chooses while retaining its original insignia.

⦁ The motto of WPT is: “Peace through understanding”. And “Blessed are the Peacemakers”

ARTICLE 4: ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

WPT shall consist of the world entity, which shall establish a world wide network of recognized National and Territorial Member Societies that represent each country. National and Territorial Member Societies will authorize and manage provincial, state and local affiliate societies. To be recognized as a National Member Society of WPT, the conditions for recognition set out in this charter and by the board must be fulfilled.

ARTICLE 5: MEMBERSHIP CONDITIONS OF NATIONAL MEMBER SOCIETIES

In order to be recognized as a National Member Society of the WPT the applicant must:

⦁ Agree to the terms and conditions of membership established by WPT. Such terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. Complete the application form provided by the WPT, which must be approved by the Founder or Board.

⦁ Adopt a national charter, which is in accordance with the goals and mission of the WPT and is approved by the WPT Board or Founder.

⦁ Adopt a name including the words “World Peace Tracts” together with the name of the country; for example, in South Korea the National Member Society shall be called World Peace Tracts of South Korea.

⦁ Adopt and use the name and emblem of WPT, modified with their country name, and place the name and emblem prominently on all vehicles, buildings, offices websites, publications, advertising and communications by the National Member Society.

⦁ Receive approval of WPT before publishing any new Peace Tract comics or messages.

⦁ Receive approval before seeking to act on international missions to broker peace between nations or warring parties or to release hostages. All such sensitive matters must be in accordance, coordination and by approval of WPT.

⦁ In order to protect the name of WPT from bad publicity and to have a cohesive and congruent message, member organizations must seek approval of WPT in writing before conducting any advertising of any kind including but not limited to: informational brochures, press releases, fundraisers, internet websites, internet advertising, TV and radio. National Member Societies may freely use already published information by WPT such as advertising, brochures, fundraising methods and material and may translate it into their respective languages.
