I-Tunes Topper - I Thank You

I thank you; from the collection Soul Man created by David Porter and Isaac Hayes was at first recorded by Sam & Dave, released in mid 1968. The single was Sam & Dave's keep going discharge on Stax Records, coming to #9 on the Billboard Pop Singles and #4 on the R&B list. Working with Stax's home band and musicians/makers Isaac Hayes and David Porter, Sam & Dave made a great deal of deep and energetic tunes that positions among the finest and most famous created in the late '60s. The twosome's 1966 presentation, "You Don't' Know Like I Know," commenced a progression of Top Ten R&B hits that included "Hang On! I'm Coming'" (1966), "You Got Me Hummin'" (1966), "When Something Is Wrong With My Baby" (1967), "Spirit Man" (1967), and "I Thank You" (1968).

Issued in 1968 after the super hits, "Keep things under control, I'm Coming'" and "Soul Man," Sam & Dave got the chance to be involved with the creating funk sounds happening all through the R&B scene. Thankfully, so was the composed work gathering of Isaac Hayes and David Porter, who made one out of the singles from this set, the seething, uneven "I Thank You." Many don't see I Thank You appropriately an in number recording instead of the pair's before showings, yet fundamentally, they're off kilter. Hayes' era is trying, multi-dimensional, and particularly highlights the individual characteristics of both vocalists. Hayes puts them in advance and includes them with a rich, spinning string strategy. Another hit from the collection is "Wrap It Up".

I Thank You song begins with Sam's talked presentation that goes: " I need everyone to get off your seat,/And get your arms together,/And your hands together,/And give me some of that old soul Clapping". To begin with, Sam sings the Refrain, notwithstanding the first verse, and the keep down, while Dave sings the second verse, the avoid, and the third verse, with both Sam and Dave sharing on the reiterated "Express profound gratitude to Yours" bit. Taking after a brief instrumentalist, Sam sings the Refrain, with Dave, obliging him, on the Coda with the reiterated "Express profound gratitude to Yours".

The tune touched such a large number of souls that it turned into the murmuring tune of a great many people for quite a while. I Thank You stood the test of time incredibly well and turned into the Best music No 1 in the charts of i-tune.
