How We Can Set Up Quickbooks Password?

While you are setting up Quickbooks password you need to follow all these steps. The steps are following.

  • Choose Company, set user and password, set up user

  • Decide that who will be the administrator and make sure to choose a person who is in your office.

  • Second step is that you need to go in the User List window, then select admin and edit user.

  •  Enter the name of that person that who will be administrator.

  • Click on the drop down of challenge questions and then select the question then answer it then you are done.

  • Click on Next and finish.

Permission You Can Assign

There two types of permission you can assign to and these are,” All areas of Quickbooks” and ”selected ares of Quickbooks .

  1. All Areas Of Quickbooks:  This allows a user to do anything and use any part of the Quickbooks and he can change each and everything because he have rights to change and edit and most of the company gives this permission to only Administrative Department.

  2. Selected Area Of Quickbooks:  This allows a user do use and edit the things that you have assigned him to edit without your permssion a user can’t change anything in the selected area all he can do is edit the few files, you restrict a user in this he can’t edit everything only the things you gave permission to him can only change that. 

Things You Have To Keep In Mind While Creating Your Password

There are many things to keep in mind while creating a password in Quickbooks. Following are the notes to keep in mind while creating your password.

  • The Length Should be 8-16  Character

  • At Least One Upper case character must be there. ( A-Z)

  • At Least One Lowest Character (a-z)

  • At least one special character must be there while creating your password(!@#$%^&*)

  • At least one number(1-9)

  • Password can’t contain the username

  • No spaces

These are things to keep in mind while creating your password.
