How Google's New Social Impact Strategies Benefits SEO and SEM

Google has a new program called Google Social Impact. It is essentially a marketing initiative that will allow webmasters to take their existing content and turn it into a viral marketing strategy. This content will get "dofollowed" by the social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Dofollowing simply means that if someone likes your content on Facebook they will also like it on Twitter and so on. It is basically a way for Google to provide another platform through which to market your products and services. In essence, this is another way in which you can gain exposure to people who might be interested in your business but may not know you existed! Google has developed this system in conjunction with websites such as Digg and StumbleUpon. The idea behind this is to use the power of the web to create a viral effect. This works in pretty much the same way as traditional viral marketing. Basically, you get your content "dofollowed" by the websites in question. The content that gets passed along to others is what becomes viral and starts to become popular. To start you need to have a piece of interesting content that has some significance to the user. Once you have this user sharing your content with others then it's just a matter of time before that content spreads virally throughout the internet. What makes agency is that it allows webmasters to submit their content to the relevant sites. When the content is submitted to the webmaster only has to do a few small things to their site in order to get the content onto the social networking sites. This allows them to control the spread of the content rather than being forced to do things manually. The other nice thing about Google Social Impact is that it gives the webmaster a way to directly get the message out about their content. For example, if a user goes to your site and is interested in what you have to say about certain products then you can put a small blurb or two right on your home page about it. Once this happens, the user will see you as an expert in that particular niche and may want to visit your website for more information. Because you've added the specific information you want to share to your site through the link you've posted on the social network site then the search engine spiders are now aware of this fact and will increase your site's ranking accordingly. Another great use for the Google Social Impact is for bookmarking your content. A lot of webmasters tend to either leave all of their content up on their sites as is or they try to get the most relevant pages of their content listed on high profile bookmarking sites. By bookmarking your content you can automatically raise the ranking of these other sites. This is because you have officially added your content to the system and the search engines will recognize this and give higher rankings to the bookmarking pages. One final example of how this tool can help you is when trying to promote your websites with social networks. Most social networks allow you to list the social network that you are participating in as part of your branding efforts. If you have a blog you can include it in your social media profile. In return the social networks will give you a much higher ranking for those particular keywords. You can find out which keywords are effective by performing a search on the social network you are involved with and then incorporating those keywords into your content. Google has taken all of these pieces of knowledge and put them into one cohesive system. By using the Google Social Impact you can brand yourself, your company, your content, and your links across multiple sites without breaking any of the existing rules of your chosen social networking community. Because Google is still in early stages of development it is expected that this feature will be available on many of the sites Google released before they launch Google+. Currently it is unclear as to whether or not every social network will be able to take advantage of the enhanced linking system. I think it is a smart move by Google to leverage social networks to increase their search ranking. By creating profiles on each of the social networks they will be able to increase their own traffic and sales. By building a solid reputation on each of the sites you will also be able to leave your links on each of the sites, which will then increase your Google Juice.
