When you have decided to go kayaking you should think about the safety of your body and life, think about the tour how can return from the sea or river or lake safely because you may fall in the trap of creatures of the sea as well as you may get injured by a ferocious animal or destructive wave and wind.  Here I’ll talk about the safety of kayaking. If you have nothing or less knowledge about the safety of kayaking you should go through this content only for the sake of you.

Kayaking Safety Rules That Kakers Should Follow:

As most of the kayakers go kayaking as part of their entertainment, therefore, there is a risk of injury even death. Here I have included very common and basic rules for kayaker’s safety that are:

  1. All the kayakers should be careful about the weather and the temperature of the water as well as take preparation for the change of weather and capsizing possibility. If you are going kayaking in the cold water you should keep some warm clothes with you and you also can keep a long sleeve shirt that can protect you from the sun rays.

  2. Take some clothes according to your climate and kayak. If you use a sit-in kayak it will provide you some special opportunities like wind, entering water into the kayak while sit-on-top can’t provide you such types of advantages.

  3. Be careful about the wind the can be seen abruptly on the shore, otherwise, it may be difficult for you to return to the bank.

  4. You should follow the instruction for boating. If you are unknown about it, you should know how to ride a kayak.

  5. Never mix alcohol or drugs (prescription or non-prescription) with boating.

  6. Don’t make your kayak overweight, otherwise, it may be the cause of suffering for you. Before starting paddling you should check your pieces of equipment leave the unnecessary thing.

  7. Have proper knowledge of paddling, the primary treatment for your body, and water safety.

  8. Start riding in the calm, shallow, and warm water and then go for the extreme condition

  9. A personal floatation device is the most important thing for you. Every kayak has a lifejacket according to the coast guard regulations. If you wear your lifejacket it will help you to float on the water as well as add insulation to your body by which you can keep yourself warm in the cold water. There are many types of personal lifejacket but the PFDs lifejacket is mostly designed for the paddlers. You should buy one that if will fit with your body and use it while you are paddling

  10. Share your plan with someone that where you are going, how much time you will spend there, how many people will be with you. If you fall in an accident and can’t return to your actual destination they will come to rescue you after the particular time.

If you are an experienced kayaker these things will be very common to you but if you are a beginner you should keep in mind these instructions for life safety.
