The Newbridge Winter Solstice is really a day of medieval magic and music. It takes place in the pub (closed for the occasion) and so on the Gladstone Green. The entertainment has was comprised of magic shows, Viking fighting displays in the afternoon (from Iron Fest participants), food stalls, Morris Dancers, many market stalls, two bands (one inside afternoon and another for your night), horse display, street entertainment and also other activities for your younger people. There will probably be drink provided by the Gladstone Hotel (Strong Ale, Draft Guinness and also other merry-making fortifications too!).
