The minimum cut off marks suggested by JAMB for admissions to universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and innovation business are 160, 120, 100 and 100 respectively.

The managing of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced the cut-off marks to be used for its 2020/2021 academic session admission exercise. JAMB Cut-off marks for degree -- awarding associations is 160. See additional information below.

JAMB Cut-off Marks
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released cut-off points for this year's entry into universities,polytechnics,colleges of education and monotechnics. .
The minimum cut off marks suggested by JAMB for admissions into universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and innovation business are 160, 120, 100 and 100 respectively.
Universities -- 160
Polytechnics -- 120
Colleges of Education -- 100
Innovation Enterprise -- 100
Institutions are, however, at liberty to raise their cut off marks for entrance over the minimum set by JAMB.
All these decisions were taken at the 2020 Mixed Policy Meetings on Admissions into Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede said institutions, together with the conclusion, aren't to go below the minimum chalk points embraced at the assembly for admissions.
According to him,"What JAMB has done would be to recommend; We will only determine the minimal, whatever you determine as your entrance cut-off mark is your decision.

The board will ensure that criterion set by Senate are strictly adhered to by the institutions' admission officers and no altering of goal place in the middle of the entry exercise.
