How to Find a Great Creative Partnership

What is creative partnerships? Simply put, it's when a business uses another company's creative strategy to help increase their brand, increase their revenue or simply create a more dynamic public perception. If you are a business owner, an executive or an advertising agency, you should consider working with a creative partner to help you achieve these goals. Creative Partners Group is a boutique, specialized ad agency which is able to bring consistency to your message throughout all communication channels: press, print, digital, direct mail and web. In fact, creatives offer their creative services across the full gamut of communications. The most common creative services include branding, creative research, market analysis, creative design and integrated marketing communications. A creative partnership begins with a meeting of the minds. What does the client want? How will the creative partner best be able to deliver the message? How do they plan on executing their plan? How much do they have to spend? Creative partnerships require a one-on-one conversation between the creative partners and the clients. At the beginning of the relationship, both parties are in agreement as to the nature of the partnership and all that matters are the details of how the project will go from start to finish. At this stage, the focus is on getting one partner to know the client and the other partner to know the client - what the client needs and what the client wants. However, as the creative process moves forward, both partners will need to adjust their thinking, their plans and their creative strategies to keep each other on track. It's at this point that creative communication takes on a new meaning. Communication lines between the creative partners need to be re-established and periodically adjusted based on the current dynamics between them. This can be a very exciting part of the new business relationship as each partner will be forced to explore areas of the creative endeavor that they may have otherwise closed off. For example, some creatives may find it helpful to use social media to solicit feedback. A helpful feedback line can be established through social media with the understanding that the creatives' audience is not only interested in the finished project, but in the process as well. By offering suggestions for improving processes or sharing stories of past creative failures, creatives encourage their social media audience to engage with the finished product in a new way. The use of social media also gives the creative partner the ability to see what their target audience is looking for as well as providing them with a venue for asking questions. Once the creative team has developed their strategy, the partnership is solidified. However, as with any type of partnership, there are potential pitfalls. The potential for friction exists between the creative partner and the client because the partnership has not been clearly defined and the vision of the company is being changed as the creative team implements their plan. This could be disastrous for the company as it could lead to lost time and financial investment. It is important that both parties remain committed to the mission and vision of the company so that any potential conflicts are avoided. Finding a great creative partner can be a challenging task. It takes time to identify those who are passionate about the products or services that you have to offer. It is also important that the creative partner is willing to work with you to ensure that you realize your goals. When searching for a great creative partner, it is important to take into consideration the skills of the partner, their past success, and their willingness to listen to and work with you. All of these factors will help to ensure that the partnership is successful.
