Have a look at the 6 components of school fees in Bangalore

Bangalore is known for being one of the best cities in India to educate one’s children. Part of the reason behind this view is that Bangalore has good infrastructure and part because it is part of south India, which is known for encouraging people to learn and grow. You will find many schools in Bangalore that fit your budget for your child’s education and provide a good worth of knowledge to them. Once you find a school that fits your grading scale, ask the governing authority of that school to educate you about the components of their fees. If you look closely at school fees in Bangalore, you will notice these 6 components.

1. Registration or admission fees

Every school asks parents to pay a one-time, non-refundable fee to consider their child for admission into its campus. This component of school fees in Bangalore is called as Registration or admission fee. It covers the total cost of the registration process including computer time and administrative paperwork. Though, once your child is admitted to a school, you will not have to pay this fee ever again.

2. Security deposit

Security deposit—as the name suggests—is the deposit parents pay to the school as a security against any unwanted situation if it arises in that school because of their child. This money covers the cost of repairing any damage done to the school property. It also covers parents’ liability if their children break the school’s terms and conditions or they take back their application for admission. Some schools refund this money to parents when their children graduate or move to another school in Bengaluru.

3. Tuition fees

Schools have to upkeep the facilities they provide, pay their teaching and non-teaching staff, and cover the cost of utilities they use like electricity, water, and internet. This component of school fees in Bangalore, called as tuition fees, cover all of these costs. It is essential to the smooth operation of a school.

4. Term charges

Parents have to pay the term charges every semester. The number of terms in a year could be between two to four. Although this type of fee is not refunded to parents, it renews the contract between the school and the student every term.

5. Laboratory fees

Students in higher classes need to use laboratories to learn concepts of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science. These labs need money to be kept in good condition. Naturally, a school would need money to buy barometers, Ohmmeters, test tubes, titration equipment, computers and other tools used in these labs. Your laboratory fees cover these costs.

6. Transportation fees

Not all students live near their schools. Some stay afar. Of those, some are dropped and picked up from schools by their parents or guardian, while the rest need a reliable service to be ferried to school and back home. Schools offer transportation services to such students. Though, students do not necessarily have to opt for this service.  If they opt for it then parents have to pay transportation fees.

Apart from these components of school fees in Bangalore, parents need to cover the cost of their children’s school uniforms, books, stationery and other needs. Please note this point before you enrol your child in any school. Have a nice day!
