Synthetic Diamonds: A RevolutionPosted by elain martell on September 5th, 2021 Optically, they have the same texture and hardness as well. However, these diamonds are less expensive due to the less cost of mining them. This is one of the sole reasons to create such diamonds in labs to make them more available. Nowadays, we can see that diamonds are not limited to precious stones for display or jewelry only. They are useful in different aspects as well. A single diamond is literally made from scratch in artificially created natural mining conditions. Within two to three weeks, the miners can successfully get a realistic diamond model. Firstly, the space of creation is given the heat and pressure needed to transform carbon atoms into diamonds. Since, the conditions are man-made, using further processes; the time taken for this to occur becomes faster easily. But at the beginning, a tiny piece of diamond is made, called a diamond seed. This seed has a pure carbon coating that is then placed in the artificial mining chamber to become a diamond. These diamonds are created with either the High Pressure-High Temperature (HPHT) or Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) method. As the name suggests, HPHT causes extreme heat and pressure, perhaps for faster conversion. On the contrary, CVD uses lower heat and pressure, along with some chemical gases to break down carbon atoms. Both the methods have their benefits and produce the same quality diamonds. Since they are not found naturally, we call them artificial, but these diamonds are still the same precious gems. Mostly, these diamonds are used for jewelry, and you can easily find many shops selling them. Currently, man made diamonds Adelaide has a large collection of artificial diamond rings for any occasion. Even though they are lab grown diamonds is sure to get jewelry worth your money. Like it?
