How to get Fiancé visa in New Jersey

Posted by Alan Finkel on December 15th, 2022

Suppose you are a Plainfield citizen engaged to be married to someone outside of New Jersey. In that case, you may be eligible to apply for a fiancé or fiancée visa so that you and your fiancé can be together in New Jersey. The fiancé (e) visa allows the fiancé or fiancée to stay in the United States for 90 days. During those 90 days, the marriage must take place, and the U.S. citizen spouse must file a petition with USCIS for conditional permanent residency (green card), allowing the spouse to reside in the United States temporarily legally. Fiancé (e) visas are also available for same-sex relationships, and special consideration is available if the fiancé or fiancée will face danger while processing in another country.

What Happens After You Hire Us?

When you hire our firm, you will be given access to our immigration program, where you can provide the information we require to complete the forms. We will provide a customized document checklist about family and marriage visas- outlining what is needed to implement the visa. Following that, he will review your information and apply with USCIS.

Once approved, the visa petition is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will assign a case number and request more information. You can track the case's progress through our immigration program. The processing time varies depending on the case, but the typical processing time is 14-18 months.

Making a Visa Application

Once the NVC receives the case, they will notify the firm and the sponsor via mail. Or when the case is sent to the Embassy or Consulate in preparation for the interview. The consulate in the country where the fiancée/fiancé is residing will contact the fiancée/fiancée to obtain additional forms and schedule a medical examination and an interview.

Our firm will continue to monitor the situation and provide assistance as needed

The fiancé/fiancée must enter the United States within four months of receiving the visa and marry within 90 days of arrival. We have processed thousands of visa applications with a success rate of 98.5%. Allow our successful attorneys to work for you.

What Are the Visa Requirements for Fiancé and Fiancée?

The parties must have met in person within two years of filing the petition. Both spouses must show a genuine desire to marry. Within 90 days of arrival, you must be able and willing to enter into a legally binding marriage. A waiver may be available to help individuals in situations where extreme hardship or cultural/social practice prevents them from meeting certain criteria. If the parties do not marry within 90 days, the fiancé or fiancée and any dependents who travelled with them will be required to leave the United States.
