Hanging Silver Celtic Photo Frames Artfully

Posted by johnpreston on July 14th, 2016

While you can hang several silver Celtic photo frames in any arrangement, you have to keep in mind that there’s a difference between random and artful arrangements. You want the walls where the photo frames will be hanged to be beautiful to look at while also showcasing your family’s history, lifestyle and special moments. You should keep these tips in mind before hanging your silver photo frames – or any frame, for that matter – on your walls.

Plan Your Arrangement

You will be placing several nails on the walls and, for this reason, you should plan where each photo frame will be placed before actually hanging them. Otherwise, you will have to deal with several visible holes on the walls where the frames cannot cover them. You can adopt this effective method to avoid drilling unnecessary holes on the wall:

•   Trace the outline of each photo frame on inexpensive paper, such as used paper or manila paper, and cut out the tracings
•   Use painter’s tape to adhere the tracings on the wall
•   Move around the tracings until you have the desired arrangement
•   Drill nails through the paper and into the wall and remove the paper
•   Hang the frames

Go for Black and White Arrangements

Even in art galleries, black-and-white photos are still popular despite the advent of coloured photos and their editing effects. This is because a black-and-white finish has a clean and classic, almost timeless, look about it such that it will look beautiful in an Art Deco home as in a post-modern structure.  Plus, the uniformity of black-and-white photos adds to the appeal of an eclectic collection of silver frames in various sizes and styles, from Celtic to contemporary.

Choose Between Matching and Dissimilar Frames and Photos

You can experiment with the frames and photos, too, so that you can achieve a personalised space. Your experimentation can include:

•   Matching frames that provide a sense of uniformity and symmetry to the arrangement but go for photos with different looks, such as mixing black-and-white photos with coloured photos (i.e., pops of colour)
•   Dissimilar frames in terms of sizes and styles but the photos have a similar theme, such as portraits in both candid and formal shots

You can be as playful or as formal as you want in your wall photo arrangements since it’s also your personal expression. You may even add a few table accessories – a console underneath the wall of photos – like a toothfairy box or a Pandora jewelry box where mementos of the persons on the photos can be kept.
