CODE41 X41 6th edition: always more transparency!

Never 5 without 6! This is what CODE41 replica seems to want to tell us with this 6th generation of their now well-known X41. But then what could this itchy team of Swiss watchmakers find this time to impress us and to sink even deeper into their logic and their values? This is what we will find out right away.

Created in 2016, the members of the CODE41 project are used to brainstorming distinctive fake watches cheap at their factory in Lausanne on the shores of Lake Geneva. Their first watch, launched through a crowdfunding campaign, was well received by the public, as were their other products, including the X41 in 2019, with the stated goal of “creating the first community of movement-makers to democratize haute horlogerie.”

Due to the success of the X41, it sold out quickly, so the company decided to launch a new version within a few months. In 2022, we witness the arrival of the sixth edition.

The new version of this watch keeps the water resistance to 100 meters which arrived with the 5th generation. It also retains its other characteristics with a 42 millimeter case, a 24 millimeter space between the lugs, a large date displayed via two transparent discs at 12 o'clock and its rare and original peripheral weight.

The fact of having already worked on 5 editions previously made it possible to make all the necessary adjustments, in particular on the movement which, as we recall, is specially designed, manufactured and assembled entirely in Switzerland for this particular project. The calibers are not COSC certified as certification involves additional cost, but they are set to similar standards and all are individually tested in 5 positions to ensure -2/+10 seconds per day accuracy. Its power reserve is 45 hours.

In addition to the grade 5 titanium or Aerocarbone cases that were part of the options on the previous generations, this 6th edition adds a new material that is significant for the brand: the sapphire case.

According to the brand, the grade 5 titanium case of the X41 that appeared in the 5th edition costs 160 euros to produce, while the same in sapphire would cost 3,600 euros, i.e. more than 22 times more expensive! This difference is partly explained by the price of the material, but also by the difficulty of working sapphire, a material usually reserved for a handful of high-end watch brands.

This reputedly scratch-resistant material is twice as light as steel, but above all the team chose to add this material to its most ambitious collection for its transparency, which highlights their unique caliber. This also allows them to go further in their Story-Telling since since their beginnings, they have defended the need for transparency in terms of prices charged, source of materials, etc. They even launched their own TTO label for “Total Transparency on Origin”, which requires sharing the provenance and cost of all materials in a High replica watch. Presenting a room that is largely transparent visually therefore enters into a general logic that is brilliantly constructed. Be careful though: with this very specific case, the water resistance goes to 3ATM only…

On top of that, this new edition, whether you prefer it in titanium, Aerocarbon or sapphire, brings new colors to the bridges. We therefore discover an almost khaki green and a rainbow which reminds me of an “essence” color in my opinion.
