Life-changing journeys, in more ways than one 

Our teen summer programs are not vacations. Yes, they represent fun and rewarding opportunities for your teen to travel the world, and to immerse themselves in cultural, natural, and social experiences unlike those they will have ever had previously. But we take pride in offering more meaningful trips that are much more profoundly life changing than a mere vacation. 

Teens will experience a range of emotions as they navigate our authentic travel experiences. They will be in awe of breathtaking scenery; they will feel warmth and friendship as they build a community of new friends from across the world; they will have to navigate challenges through service or unfamiliar cultures; and most importantly they will have to push themselves to step outside of their comfort zone. 

For some, this may sound hard, and it can be, but at the same time the rewards are numerous and our summer programs provide students with life skills that will impact them for the rest of their lives. 

Where will your teen get to spend next summer? 

So, now that you know something about the mission behind our teen summer programs here at RLT – what programs are available for your child? Below is just a few of the wide range of possibilities that are currently open for early enrollment: 

• Alaska: Midnight Sun, a 14-day adventure and environmental service program packed with activities including kayaking, hiking, biking, rafting, exploring, and service work 

• Bali: Coral and Culture, a 16-day trip that enables students to get scuba diving certified, discover some of Bali’s hidden gems, and immerse themselves in island life 
• Italy: Dive the Med, a 14-day scuba, marine service, and cultural immersion program allowing students to explore the enchanting Italian island of Sardinia 
• Kenya: Safari and Service, a 16-day East African trip offering incomparable opportunities to find out about local cultures and traditions, as well as to see the Big 5 
• Galápagos: Island Immersion, a program taking place over 16 days, and which takes in the highlights of the Galápagos Islands, alongside important community service projects with local organizations
