Traveling to France: Top Places to Visit.

Everyone always has an opinion of France and while most people think that the country has its issues, many of them are able to look beyond all of that and see the true beauty of the country. While there are too many attractions to count in France, there are a few places that are a definite must see for anyone who visits.

Most people are in awe before they even enter the actual Louvre, because the main entrance of the museum is a magnificent work of art in itself. No one can possibly see the entire museum in one day, so everyone should plan their time accordingly. Of course, every visitor will want to see the infamous Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci before they leave the museum.

The Eiffel Tower might not seem too spectacular from the ground during the day, but at night when the tower is lit up, the perspective is completely different. The panoramic views of the city from the observation deck are usually amazing too, unless a person is there on a very cloudy day. No matter when a person decides to go to the Eiffel Tower, they will want to remember that the tower is a symbol of the French and that is what is the most important.

This large monument connects both the old and new Paris with artistic pillars engraved with the names of generals and major victories. Below the arch is where people will find France’s tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Moulin Rouge is an old cabaret near Montmartre in Paris. Many people still go there to have their picture taken below the red windmill, but the well-informed visitors know to go at night when they can watch the cancan performance.

This is one of France’s most popular UNESCO World Heritage Sites and it sits near the Nimes in the South. A total of thirty-five arches stand over a Roman aqueduct. Everyone can either enjoy the view from a canoe below the Pont or they can go across the top tier.

St. Tropez is often visited by people who are looking for fantastic beaches for their vacation and this area does not disappoint. Families will enjoy their time at La Bouillabaisse while people looking for peace and quiet will want to visit the more secluded Plage de la Briande. Plade de Pampelonne is on the trendier side and celebrities and the rich and famous can be spotted at Plage de Tahiti.

These six destinations are ones that people who are planning a trip to France for the first time will want to visit, because they show the true beauty and history of the country. Many people may find that they enjoy a couple of these locations so much that they will want to return time and time again during future vacations.
