Rishikesh Yoga teacher training centers - 200 hour course overview

In general, the schedules followed by most Rishikesh Yoga Teachers training centers lay greater emphasis on meditation, breathing and cleansing techniques, along with devotional practices such as mantra chanting, coaching philosophy, and karma yoga (community service). The most popular centers here are offering 200-hour residential yoga teacher training programs and instructor courses. The main objective of this course is to give you an understanding of yoga and its related practices from basic to advanced levels, in a simple and systematic way, with practice as well as theory. Keeping with the guidelines of the Yoga Alliance - USA, the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program in Rishikesh centers usually assign 6 to 7 hours per day for learning different aspects of this art.

Out of the total 200, 100 hours are assigned to techniques and practice.
The methodology takes up 25 hours.
20 hours are allotted to learning anatomy and physiology.
Philosophy and ethical conduct take up to 30 hours.
For electives and practicum, 15 hours and 10 hours are allotted respectively.

Depending on the yoga school the mornings can begin as early as 5:30 a.m. with meditation followed by some lessons on yoga asanas and few classes or lectures in philosophy or anatomy. Evening session
