When the students choose an accommodation provider near the college, they can dedicate their time to whatever they like the most: Sports, studying at the library, seeing friends, etc. This will indeed save a lot of energy, time and money.  All you need to do is to calculate what’s best for you: To live close to your university (and pay more) or live far away, pay less rent but commute every day and spend in public transport fees.
