The question of what foods you should eat to lose weight fast is continually being asked, which tells you that there is no one solution that works for everybody. But having said that, most people also know what they should be eating, and at the same time, what they should be avoiding.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are good for you, and they provide you with fiber which is good for everybody, as it helps to move waste out of the body in a regular fashion. But, it is possible to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and not lose a single pound of weight. This happens for many people because of what they add to their fruits and vegetables. Salads are great  for those wanting to lose a few pounds, but if you add  half a bottle of dressing each time, then your calorie and fat intake will be too high, your overall diet will not be healthy, and you will not lose the weight you want and perhaps need to after all.

Eating some vegetables with low calories will also help you reduce weight. Celery has plenty of water in it, and it does take some effort to eat it, but do not make the mistake of adding a lot of salt, or dips, as these will harm the goodness of the celery by itself.

But a healthy diet, one where you eat the correct food groups as recommended, eating sensibly, and in moderation, will still not necessarily have you losing weight the first few days or weeks, because you need to make sure that you are not eating more calories and food than you need. In other words, you need to exercise more and eat less to get your body losing weight.

And you need to stop with the fast food. We all know that fast food is bad for us, but it doesn’t stop us eating it, because the fat in it tastes good, and we long for that treat. However, if you can gradually cut it out of your diet, so it no longer becomes a habit to stop off for a pizza or a burger on the way home from work, then you will start to feel healthier, and your body will respond accordingly.

What is more, by cutting out some of the animal fats from your diet, you will be reducing the amount of cholesterol you eat, and that too is a good thing for you to do, for your hearts sake. The consumption of animal fats affects the health of your heart, and too many can cause heart attacks or strokes, something that you do not want or need to risk.

By eating more fruits and vegetables, without the fatty dressings if possible, and by reducing the animal fats in your diet, and this means the fat in milk should be cut (try reducing from 2% to 1% or skim milk), try to eat low fat cheeses, less fatty meats, fewer egg yolks, and increasing the fiber you eat, especially the soluble fiber that is found in apples and pears, and also barley and oatmeal, you will be doing your body a big favor. If you feel difficult to choose the proper weight loss foods, we suggest you eating a healthy diet with a plan rich in protein, good carbohydrates, grains.

Try eating smaller meals which your stomach will be able to process more easily, and remember to try to get some exercise 3 or 4 times a week, for 30 minutes or more at a time. You will feel better if you exercise, and once you get into the habit, you will find it easier to continue, and you will miss it on your days off. And of course this is a much better safer approach to losing weight than using drugs and pills, and this life style change will be easier to continue too.

Of course, you should check with your doctor before any major changes in your lifestyle like starting exercising, but your doctor will encourage your efforts to take control of your diet by eating healthily, and losing weight by exercising and eating less.
